The Joy Formidable
The Joy Formidable have embarked on their first US headlining tour. Congrats!!!! to TJF from Xpeditious Unlimited. I personally saw the show yesterday at Club Mayan Theatre. Great LIVE BAND! It was a blast and worth seeing again, again and again! The band also recently filmed a performance at Sarm Studios for their song "Everchanging Spectrum of a Lie" from last year's debut album The Big Roar, which you can watch below as well. Please take a look.In The Fast Lane with Redlight King
Mark Kasprzyk better known by his stage name Kazzer or Kaz, is a Canadian Juno Award nominated musician whose work ranges from Rap Rock to Alternative Rock. The singer-songwriter of Redlight King refused to take no for an answer when music business suits denied his request to sample Neil Young's classic "Old Man" only to get Neil's approval once he heard Kaz's version. Now, with "Something for the Pain" Redlight King's debut album, Kaz relives both his darkest days and the turn-around, when he clawed his way back to the light. The album is a latticework of rock and hip hop and conjures old school sound. " I'm all about mixing the old sounds," Kaz says, "and giving it that warm analog feel. There is sampling, hip hop grooves and beats, but I also wanted good old fashion meat and potatoes: bass, guitar and drums." It helps that the album was recorded in the same studio whose alums include Jimi Hendrix, the Doors and yes, Neil Young. Redlight Kings is currently on their national tour.A + For Tenth Anniversary of "Songs In A Minor"
Xpeditious Unlimited was honored to be selected to ship Alicia Keys customized piano from Los Angeles to New York for her special performance at the Beacon Theatre to celebrate the tenth anniversary of her first studio album "Songs in A Minor". This shipment was an exciting production for the Xpeditious family. We had to pick up the road case for the customized grand piano, then deliver the road case and load in the grand piano into the road case. The road case was brought to the Xpeditious warehouse where we had a team custom built a crate for the grand piano and then have the crate delivered to the airlines by 5pm to overnight the grand piano to New York. Our New York City staff then proceeded to recover the crate, unpack the road case and deliver the piano to the Beacon Theatre. Alicia Keys performed an incredible set including her own classics "Empire State of Mind", "Fallin", "A Womens Worth" and "No One". Once again Xpeditious get an A + when most freight carriers cant make the grade.Fitz & the Tantrums "On the Rise"
Led by songwriter Michael Fitzpatrick, Fitz & the Tantrums brew up a retro sound inspired by Motown and Stax Records. Fitzpatrick initially formed the Tantrums as a neo-soul solo project, having purchased an old church organ and found that it helped inspire his songwriting. While recording a solo EP, he recruited an old college friend, James King, to add horn arrangements to the material. The lineup grew from there, with the Tantrums eventually becoming a coed septet. Songs for a Break Up, Vol. 1 marked the group’s first release in 2009, and Fitz & the Tantrums headed to South by Southwest the following year, stirring up some industry buzz in the process. In 2010, the band returned with its sophomore effort, Pickin' Up the Pieces, featuring the single "MoneyGrabber." ~ Andrew Leahey, Rovi Purchase the new album "Pickin' Up The Pieces" here: http://www.fitzandthetantrums.com/store
Red Fang "Prehistoric Dog"
RED FANG deals in kick-ass heavy rock. On their Chris Funk (DECEMBERISTS) produced, Vance Powell (KINGS OF LEON, WHITE STRIPES, RACONTEURS) mixed Relapse debut Murder the Mountains, the quartet wave a middle finger at fashion and bet the proverbial house on substance over style. The incredible “Wires”, “Number Thirteen”, "Hank Is Dead", and "The Undertow" are just a few of an onslaught of highlights on this front-to-back set of great f%$king songs
